This update introduces two new difficulty modes and Desperate Reality Score, Curse etc. We’ve improved the lockpicking system, added new battle backgrounds, and more. See below for full details.





New Difficulty Modes Added


‘Reality’ Difficulty

Description: A challenging difficulty level that one wrong choice can cost your life.

Unlock Condition: Difficulty unlocks if completes achievement 'Decent Explorer'.


Effects:

  • Achievement Points gained increased by 30%.

  • At the start of each battle, you must choose a Curse based on your current Area Level. Curse grows stronger in later levels.

  • Enemies become 1.5 times stronger.


‘Desperate Reality’ Difficulty

Description: Enemies get stronger and your growth becomes slower. This exploration is truly despair.

Unlock Condition: Difficulty unlocks if completes achievement 'Slayer'.


Effects:

  • Desperate Reality Score is now tracked in Statistics.

  • Achievement Points gained increased by 50%.

  • At the start of each battle, you must choose a Curse based on your current Area Level.

  • Bosses and elite enemies gain special actions.

  • Enemies become twice as strong.

  • EXP and Gold gained reduced by 50%.




Curse

At the start of each battle, based on your current Area level, you must select one or more Curses that will affect the current battle. Curses act like Debuffs, but do not decrease or get removed over time.


Area Level Definitions:

  • Level 1: Areas 1 to 3

  • Level 2: Areas 4 to 6

  • Level 3: Areas 7 and beyond


Curses by Level.

  • Level 1: Choose one Level I Curse

  • Level 2: Choose two Level I Curses

  • Level 3: Choose one Level II Curse and one Level I Curse


Types of Curses

  1. Overweight – Maximum DEF is reduced.

    Level I Curse: Decreases MAX DEF to one fourth of MAX HP.

    Level II Curse: MAX DEF is fixed to 10.


  1. Fragile Body – Increases DMG taken.

    Level I Curse: Takes 30% more taken DMG.

    Level II Curse: Takes 50% more taken DMG.


  1. Weakness – Lose HP whenever a Debuff is applied.

    Level I Curse: Takes 5 DMG per 1 debuff stack directly to HP when gains debuff

    Level II Curse: Takes 9 DMG per 1 debuff stack directly to HP when gains debuff


  1. Life-limiting – Lose HP each turn, but deal more DMG.

    Level I Curse: At start of every turn, takes 4 DMG directly to HP and gives 30% more DMG to enemies.

    Level II Curse: At start of every turn, takes 6 DMG directly to HP and gives 20% more DMG to enemies.


  1. Metal allergy – DEF gained is reduced.

    Level I Curse: 60% less gaining DEF

    Level II Curse: 70% less gaining DEF, HP cannot be restored.


  1. Poor fighter – Reduces DMG dealt.

    Level I Curse: 30 % less DMG to enemies

    Level II Curse: 50 % less DMG to enemies


  1. Slow hand – Fewer Cards drawn each turn.

    Level I Curse: At start of every turn, decreases number of draw card by 3.

    Level II Curse: At start of every turn, number of draw card is fixed to 3.


  1. Clouded Mind – Less AP is restored per turn.

    Level I Curse: At start of every turn, decreases restored AP by 2.

    Level II Curse: At start of every turn, restored AP is fixed to 2.


  1. Clutter – Start battles with useless cards.

    Level I Curse: At start of each battle, gains 10 ‘Scrap Metal’ cards at deck.

    Level II Curse: At start of each battle, gains 10 ‘Scrap Metal’ cards at deck. At start of every turn, gains 1 ‘Scrap Metal’ card at deck.


  1. Sickly body – Gain random Debuffs each turn.

    Level I Curse: At start of every turn, gains 1 random debuff.

    Level II Curse: At start of every turn, gains 1 debuff each from 2 random debuff.

    (Random Debuffs: Poison, Bleed, Burn, Blind, Enfeeble, Decay, Corrosion, Shock, Berserk, Stun, Marked, Infect, Harm, Bind, Subdue)


  1. Lethargy – Enemies have a chance to become Invincible.

    Level I Curse: Each turn, enemies have a 1/3 chance to gain ‘Invincible’.

    Level II Curse: Each turn, enemies have a 2/3 chance to gain ‘Invincible’.


  1. Hardened enemies – Enemies gain Buffs every turn.

    Level I Curse: At start of every turn, enemy gains 1 random buff.

    Level II Curse: At start of every turn, enemy gains 3 buff each from 2 random buff.

    (Random Buffs: Keen, Heal, Pierce, Fortify, Hide, Fortify II, Invincible, Vampirize, Thorn, Ruin Armor, Poison Armor, Electric Armor, Damage Shift, Rampage)




Special Patterns for Bosses and Elite Enemies

  • Gi-Ants Queen: After laying eggs, she grants high DEF to the eggs. Buffs applied to ally ants have become significantly stronger.


  • Golem of the Ruins: Now performs actions that grant DEF. Its basic attacks now inflict Harm, and its attacks add Scrap Metal Cards to the player's Deck.


  • Knight of House Mordred: Gains a new action that grants itself Keen, and the amount of DEF it gains has been increased.


  • Alhage: Increased gains of both DEF and Keen. Now also gains Ruin Armor.


  • Lancelot: Increased DMG and Harm inflicted. Now also inflicts Bleed.


  • Lancelot the Divine Knight: Increased infliction of Shock and Harm. Now has an action that removes all Debuffs from himself.


  • Emperor Arthur: The emperor is now even more imperial. Gains greatly increased DEF through Imperia, and now receives the unique buff “Emperor’s Authority”.

    (Arthur's attacks remove all Buffs from the player.)


  • Rex: Gains a new action that applies Ruin Armor, and now applies more Subdue and Bind. Also gains an action that removes all Debuffs from himself.


  • Izar: Gains Electric Armor whenever gaining DEF.


  • Lucy the Seraphic Maiden: Increased DMG. The Mana Amplifier grants Lucy a random Buff and gives the player a random Debuff.


  • Hierarch: Grants summoned Cultists DEF, Invincible, and Keen.


  • Barjona: Gains increased Damage Shift. Also now gains Electric Armor and Rewind.


  • Heretical Sorcerer (Boss Variant): Grants itself Rampage and Thorn.


  • Briana: The amount of DEF that must be broken to interrupt her pattern has been increased.


  • Karos: Immediately after summoning Drones, grants them DEF. His attacks add Harm Cards to your Deck or inflict Bind and Subdue.


  • Kronos: His attacks add Harm Cards to your Deck. He now applies more Reactive Suppression Devices and Neutralization Devices.




The Citadel battle background has been updated.
